We all have beauty marks. The indelible details that make us who we are. Smile lines etched by moments of bliss, a constellation of freckles, a furrowed brow that tells a story, a mole in the same spot as your mother’s, a scar we once hid and now are proud of, the asymmetry that makes our face our own.
Some beauty marks don’t show up in the mirror—like a laugh that can change an entire atmosphere, filling a room with joy. Or the way someone lights up when they talk about someone they love.
And then there are our rituals. Somewhere right now, a woman is twisting open a lipstick that’s been her signature shade for well over a decade. The cap clicks shut with the familiarity of muscle memory. It’s the one she reaches for when she wants to feel like her most confident self.
Another person is spritzing on a fragrance they first loved in their twenties, because it still makes them feel just as electric. It’s like a second skin, or a kind of armor.
Beauty has always been about more than products. It’s about the feelings they give us: confidence, comfort, familiarity, joy, transformation, sometimes subtle, sometimes not.
Welcome to The Beauty of It!
We are here to talk about the personal—sometimes emotional—side of beauty. You’ll find intimate stories and perspectives from artists, activists, scientists, survivors, and creators. We’ll talk about how their relationship with beauty has been shaped by culture, creativity, motherhood, grief, ambition, joy, reinvention—and by life itself. We’ll explore rituals, icons, history, aging, confidence, self-image, and the individual ways beauty shows up in our lives.
And yes—what’s in our makeup bags and atop our vanities. At the end of the day, we are devotees of it all.
We’ll also open up our archives and revisit the people and ideas that shaped our brand. Our beloved founder Estée Lauder believed that “beauty is an attitude,” and that philosophy still lands with the same force it did when she first said it—perhaps even more so now.
We want this to feel like a really great conversation. The kind that is honest, thoughtful, curious, and occasionally nostalgic. Just as you would chat with your best friend while getting ready together for a big night (makeup scattered everywhere, of course), or lingering at dinner long after the plates are cleared.
We’re not interested in perfection or performance, but rather in expression. It’s about the ways we choose to care for ourselves and for each other.
Beauty has never been one thing, and here, it’s always been for everyone. We are here to honor individuality, to celebrate exactly where you are in life.
Mostly, we hope this becomes a place you want to spend time. A space that reminds you that self-expression is meaningful and fun, intimate and expressive, aspirational and entirely your own.
We are reflecting far beyond what’s in the mirror—and that’s the Beauty of It.

I am so glad that you created this special place for us! I've been exclusively using Estee Lauder for nearly six months. The products have really helped me after having gone through mega cancer treatments and surgeries! Now, I am sharing my experience with them on my YouTube channel! They really do work!
One of the best pieces of “beauty” advice I ever received is from my sister. She was unapologetically herself.
“How do you get a bikini body?”
- you put a bikini on your body…..
